In 2007, Al Harrington launched The Al Harrington Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization established to provide educational and life-enriching opportunities for youth affected by poverty, illness, abuse or neglect in New Jersey, the place Al still calls 'Home.'
Through strong relationships with the State, Media and partnering Foundations, The Al Harrington Foundation aims to raise public awareness of children at risk and offer dedicated programs to encourage children to fully develop and realize their potential.
The Al Harrington Foundation encourages children to realize that
health, personal development, education and enjoyment of life

Reach For The Stars Gala
At this prestigious red carpet event, The Al Harrington Foundation takes time to recognize youths in NJ who have fought against the challenges in front of them to achieve their goals and those Stars who help them.
Guests will enjoy a night filled with a silent auction, live auction, 4 course meal, champagne, celebrity guests, a raffle and incredible entreatment along with the Reach For The Stars Awards.

Thanksgiving Feast
The Al Harrington Foundation will host a Thanksgiving Feast for New Jersey families affected by homelessness. This special event, with many surprises, will give families the opportunity to show their love and appreciation of each other despite the current hardships they find themselves in.
Christmas Wish Program
Christmas is an amazing time of the year and The Al Harrington Foundation wants to ensure that every child's wish of receiving a Christmas gift is granted.
